He specializes in purchasing the most difficult properties in areas plagued by gangs, narcotics and other community issues. Then working with community partners such as law enforcement, school safe passage programs, neighborhood and business watch groups, strives to improve the dynamics of the community. Doing so thereby creates the ability to attract better tenants and create added value for his properties. Arnold is also a Reserve Officer with Los Angeles Police Department Southeast Division (LAPD Reserve Officer of the Year 2007, South Bureau) and Director with the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles. Partnering with these organizations and the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office, he volunteers his time throughout the city training others how to control crime and nuisance in their communities. To date, he is able to monitor almost three lineal miles of major streets. Now with additional property owners committed have identified almost ten miles soon to be monitored. Those cameras have been used by LAPD to help solve numerous crimes including seven homicides. He lives in Los Angeles with wife Debbie who is a Director at Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA School of Medicine. |

Rev. Leonard E. White

Reverend Leonard E. White serves as Pastor for the Holy Mt Calvary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California. A native of Los Angeles, California, was born March 24, 1952, to the parentage of the late Reverend Lonnie and Gladys White. He is the oldest of eight children. Receiving his education in the Los Angeles Unified School District, he graduated from 66th Street Elementary, Thomas Edison Junior High and John C. Fremont High School. He was employed for 37 years in electrical maintenance at UCLA. He retired in 2007.
Rev. White acknowledged his call into the ministry August 1976. His first sermon was preached in November of the same year. He was licensed to preach August 18, 1978 by Rev. Louis Armor. July 8, 1979, he was ordained as a Baptist preacher by Rev. L.H. Kennedy. Believing that one should be trained in his craft, Rev. White attended and graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary and Bible Believers Christian College and Seminary with a Bachelor of Theology, Master of Arts in Theology and a Doctor of Ministry. He was joined in holy wedlock June 30, 1979 to Frankie M. Johnson. They have one daughter, Minister Franchesca Leonore White. Rev. White, who is also a musician, has worked with many choirs throughout the city. Prior to his call to the pastorate of the Holy Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, April 5, 1987, he served as the Minister of Music and the Assistant Pastor for the Mount Hebron Missionary Baptist Church, where the late Rev. L.H. Kennedy was Pastor. Rev. Leonard E. White is an outstanding gospel preacher and teacher, who is deeply concerned for the welfare and salvation of each individual. He serves as CFO/Treasurer for the Southeast Area Business Booster Association, a non-profit organization in the Los Angeles Police Division - Southeast Division. |
Capt. Phillip Tingirides

Born in Lynwood, California. His family roots are in South Los Angeles. He attended schools within Los Angeles County from elementary through high school. Upon his graduation from Lowell High School in 1976, he enlisted in the United States Army. Captain Tingirides received training at the U.S. Army Military Police School in Alabama. He was station in Germany and Key West Florida.Captain Tingirides was honorably discharged from the military in 1979.
He began his career with the Los Angeles Police Department in February 1980, when he entered the Los Angeles Police Academy. Following his completion of Recruit Training, he was assigned to patrol assignments in Southeast, Wilshire, Hollywood and then was assigned to Metropolitan Division. In 1988 he was promoted to Sergeant. His initial assignment was to Central Area as a field supervisor. In 1989 he moved to Hollywood Area where he was assigned to Patrol, the Administrative Unit, Prostitution Enforcement Detail, Vice Unit and the Community Relations Unit. In 1996, Captain Tingirides transferred to Harbor Area where he was the Officer-in-Charge of the Gang Unit. In 1997, Captain Tingirides was assigned to the Department Commander as his Aide. During this assignment he was involved in the Rampart Corruption investigation. In 1998 he was promoted to Lieutenant. As a lieutenant he held the following positions: Patrol Watch Commander, Detective Commanding Officer, Operations-South Bureau Vice and Special Events Coordinator, Officer-in-Charge Gang Impact Team, Metropolitan Division Mounted Unit and Underwater Dive Unit. On July 2, 2006 he was promoted to Captain and was assigned to Wilshire Area as the Patrol Commanding Officer. In July 2007, he was promoted again to Captain III and was assigned to Southeast Division, where he is currently the Area Commanding Officer. |

Los Angeles native Gregory A. Dulan is an example of a Business Leader who has turned his passion into profit and is dedicated to giving back. Greg is a second generation restaurateur following in the footsteps of his father, the King of Soul Food, Adolf Dulan. In October of 2011, Greg Dulan celebrated his 25th Anniversary in the restaurant and catering
business. Some of Dulan’s clients include Black Entertainment Television (BET), Sony, Paramount, Nickelodeon, his Church First A.M.E. (FAME) and his fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha. Dulan’s Catering was one of the first private catering companies to serve lunch to Los Angeles’ Public Charter Schools. In October of 2011 Dulan’s Catering, alongside Dulan’s Soul Food Kitchen (his father Adolf Dulan’s company) successfully debuted at the 6th Annual Taste of Soul LA. Today, Greg has entered yet another venture in re-opening Dulan's On Crenshaw, a cafeteria-style soul food restaurant, catering and banquet hall facility. Now it has become clear that Greg Dulan is the “Restaurant & Catering Connoisseur of Soul Food in Los Angeles,” and a business owner serving the Los Angeles community for over 25 years. |
Theresa Gartland

A native of the Washington D.C. area, and graduate of Villanova University, Theresa Gartland moved to Los Angeles to attend Loyola Marymount University where she received a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. Theresa has a passion for working in communities with the greatest need for educators. She has taught in a parochial grade school in South Los Angeles, worked at Verbum Dei High School and was Program and Curriculum Director of a nonprofit in Watts. Theresa also served as Executive Director for Urban Compass before joining Operation Progress. Theresa brings a solid foundation in education through her hands-on classroom experience, in-depth understanding of curriculum development and the experience of running a nonprofit in the Watts community.
